Your report needs a methodology note between the introduction and findings. The two existing sections are perfect — you just need to slot something between them.
Inserting pages is straightforward. The order matters more than the operation.
Prepare the new page as a PDF
If the new content is in Word, convert it. If it's an image, convert it to PDF. The insertion tool takes PDFs only.
Keep the page size consistent with the existing document. Mixed sizes look unprofessional.
Merge in the right order
Drop the original PDF and the new page into Flint's merge tool. The merge default is sequential — original first, new page second.
For inserting in the middle, reorder pages after merging. Drag the new page to the right position in the thumbnail sidebar.
Renumber if needed
If the document has page numbers, inserting a page shifts the count. Re-stamp page numbers using the editor — or use bookmarks instead of stamped numbers for documents that change often.
For longer documents with a table of contents, update the TOC entries too.
FAQ
Can I insert multiple pages at once?
Yes. The new file can have any number of pages. The whole set gets inserted as a block.
How do I insert a blank page?
Most editors have an "Insert blank page" option. Click in the position you want and choose blank with the same size as the surrounding pages.
Will my bookmarks update automatically?
Bookmarks attached to specific pages stay with those pages. Bookmarks based on page numbers may need updating.
Can I insert a page from a different PDF directly?
Yes — extract the page you want first via split, then merge it in.
Inserting pages is just careful merging. Use Flint's merge tool and reorder for precise positioning.
