Edit PDF

Click any text to change it.

Flint's PDF editor lets you change the actual text inside a PDF without exporting to Word or paying for Acrobat. Click any paragraph, type your correction, and Flint replaces the text in place. It's built for the small fixes that used to send you hunting for the original source file — typos, dates, names, prices.

  • Click any text on the page to edit it inline
  • Multiple edits queued before applying
  • Original kept as a previous version
  • Browser-based — no install
  • Files private to your account
  • Up to 250 MB on Pro

How it works

Right in your browser, no install

Flint PDF runs entirely in your browser. Drop a file in, do the thing, get the file out.

  1. 1

    Open your PDF

Drop a PDF into Flint and the editor loads in seconds. Pages render with their selectable text intact, ready to be edited.

  2. 2

Click the text you want to change

Any selectable paragraph becomes editable on click. Type your replacement and Flint covers the original text and redraws it in place.

  3. 3

Queue up as many edits as you need

Make corrections across multiple pages before committing. Edits stack as overlays so you can review them all before applying.

  4. 4

    Apply and download

Apply bakes your edits into a new version. Download it with Pro to share the corrected PDF, while the original stays available in your history.

What it's for

Built for real work

Fix typos in a finished PDF

When the source Word file is gone or stuck on someone else's machine, edit the PDF directly. Faster than recreating the document from scratch.

Update dates, prices, or names

Reuse a contract, invoice, or proposal by swapping out the dynamic fields. Save the new copy as a fresh version without losing the template.

Correct OCR'd or exported documents

Clean up garbled text from a scan or a Word-to-PDF export. Fix it once in Flint instead of going back through the original toolchain.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF editor free?
Editing in the browser is free. You'll need a Pro plan to download the corrected PDF, so you can fully test it before deciding to upgrade.
Are my files private?
Yes. Files are processed for your session only and aren't shared with third parties. Your originals stay accessible as previous versions.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Flint is a web app — it runs in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge with no plugin, extension, or desktop install.
What's the maximum file size?
Pro accounts can upload PDFs up to 250MB, which covers most reports, contracts, and scanned documents.
Can I edit scanned PDFs?
Only PDFs with real, selectable text are editable today. Scanned image-only PDFs need OCR first — that's on the roadmap.
Will the original font be preserved?
Flint matches common fonts closely. Full font preservation across every PDF is on the roadmap; for now, edits to standard body text look near-identical.
Can I undo an edit?
Yes. Edits queue as overlays until you apply, so you can remove individual ones first. After applying, roll back to the previous version anytime.
