Frequently asked questions
- Will the rotation be saved into the PDF?
- Yes — rotation is written into the PDF's page metadata so every viewer renders it the right way up. It's not just a view preference.
- Does rotating reduce quality?
- No. We don't re-render or re-encode the page content; only the orientation flag changes. The PDF stays byte-for-byte equivalent apart from rotation.
- Can I rotate password-protected PDFs?
- Not yet. Remove the password first with our Unlock PDF tool, then rotate.
- Is it free?
- Try it free in the browser. Downloading the rotated PDF requires a Flint Pro plan.
- Are my files private?
- Yes. Files are processed only for the action you trigger and stay tied to your account.
- What's the maximum file size?
- Flint Pro accepts PDFs up to 250 MB.
- Can I undo the rotation later?
- Yes. Every rotation creates a new version of the document — the original is one click away in the version menu.
