What it's for
Built for real work
Locked-down sharing
Send a PDF version of a Word doc so the recipient can't accidentally edit it — useful for contracts, proposals, and invoices.
Cross-platform reliability
PDFs render identically on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Linux. No more “the layout looks wrong on my computer” emails.
Print-ready output
PDFs are the standard format for printers and printshops — fonts and margins are guaranteed to match.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- Does the PDF look identical to my Word file?
- Yes — fonts are embedded so the result matches what you see in Word, including page numbers, headers, footers, and tables. Very obscure fonts may substitute, but the layout always stays put.
- Do I need Microsoft Word installed?
- No. The conversion runs in your browser plus our server — no Word, no Office, no plugins required.
- Does it support both .doc and .docx?
- Yes. The older .doc format works alongside modern .docx; we'll detect the right one from your file.
- Is it free?
- You can try the conversion in the browser without an account. Downloading the resulting PDF requires Flint Pro.
- Are my files private?
- Yes. Files are processed only for the conversion you trigger and stay tied to your account. We don't share them with anyone.
- What's the maximum file size?
- Flint Pro accepts Word files up to 250 MB.
- Can I convert PDF back to Word later?
- Yes — our PDF to Word converter turns any PDF back into an editable .docx with tables and images preserved.
