Mixed-rotation source documents
If most pages need rotation but a few are correct, select all, rotate everything, then select just the few originally-correct pages and rotate them back. Or use range-based selection: 'rotate pages 1-30 by 90°' is one operation, and pages 31+ stay as they were.
When to rotate vs re-scan
Software rotation is lossless — content, text, images come along intact. There's no quality argument for re-scanning unless the original scan was also low-resolution. Rotate first; only re-scan if you also need higher resolution or de-skewing.
FAQ
Does this affect file size?
Barely. Rotation is metadata, not a re-render.
Will OCR text follow the rotation?
If the PDF had an OCR text layer, rotation includes it. The text stays aligned with the visible content.
What if rotation makes the page too wide for the paper?
Page dimensions swap (portrait becomes landscape). Printing may need adjusted settings, but the file itself is correct.
Can I rotate only odd pages?
Yes — use range selection ('1, 3, 5, ...') or the odd-page filter in the thumbnail grid.
