What 'sending for signature' actually does
When you send a PDF for signature via Flint's signing tool, each signer gets a link that opens the PDF in their browser with signature fields ready to fill. They sign in place, click submit, and you get the completed file back along with an audit log.
No software installs, no account creation for the signer, no printing. The signer's experience is roughly two clicks.
Setting up the request
Upload the PDF. Place signature fields where each person needs to sign — including date fields, initials, and any required text fields. Add each signer's email address. Optionally set a deadline.
Flint sends each signer a link, in the order you specified. You see the status of each signer in your dashboard.
Tracking and reminders
While the document is out for signature, the dashboard shows who has signed, who hasn't, and when each action happened. You can send reminders, resend the link if it bounced, or cancel the request entirely.
Once all signers complete, you get a final signed PDF and a certificate of completion with audit details (IP, timestamp, device for each signer).
