Your client doesn't use Figma. They don't want to set up an account just to leave comments on screens. The next pitch needs to be in their inbox tonight.
Figma to PDF takes thirty seconds when you know the workflow.
Select frames intentionally
Don't export every frame. Pick the frames that show key states — happy path, important edge cases, the screens that drive the client decision. Use Figma's frame ordering to control PDF page order. Frames lower down in the canvas export last.
Export to PDF
In Figma: select the frames, File > Export > PDF. Each frame becomes a PDF page. Name the export with project and version (`AcmeApp_v3.pdf`). Sortable for your records, identifiable for the client.
Combine if needed
If different flows live in different Figma files, export each and merge PDF into a single client review document. Add a contents page if there are multiple sections. One document beats four attachments for the client's inbox.
Compress for email
Figma's PDF export can run heavy with high-resolution images and effects. Compress PDF before sending. Test on a phone — designs that look fine on desktop sometimes lose detail on mobile. Adjust compression accordingly.
