Canva is great for designing posters, social posts, slides. The final form often needs to be a PDF — for printing, for client review, for archive. Canva's PDF export handles it. Edits after export sometimes need a tool Canva doesn't include.
Canva's PDF export
Open your Canva design. Click Share (top right) → Download. File type: PDF Standard (for sharing) or PDF Print (for high-quality printing). Click Download.
Canva renders the design as a PDF. Single-page designs become single-page PDFs; multi-page designs become multi-page PDFs.
Editing the exported PDF
Canva's editor doesn't open PDFs back for editing — once exported, you're working in the exported format. For quick text fixes, Flint edits the PDF directly. Tap text, type, save. Add signatures or annotations.
For design changes, go back to Canva, re-export. For text/signature edits on the final file, Flint is faster.
Combining Canva PDFs with other docs
Canva exports as standalone PDFs. To combine with other PDFs (Canva-designed cover + Word-exported body, for example), merge in Flint. Final result: one tidy PDF, designed cover and all.

Why does Canva PDF Print have larger files?
PDF Print uses higher resolution and CMYK colour profile suitable for printing. Files are bigger but print sharper. PDF Standard is RGB and lower DPI — fine for screen sharing.
Can I edit Canva designs after exporting?
Yes — the design stays in your Canva account; the exported PDF is a snapshot. Edit design in Canva, re-export for a new PDF. Or edit the PDF in Flint for quick fixes.
Is there a Canva PDF size limit?
Canva's per-export file size limit depends on design dimensions and pages. Very large designs (huge canvases, hundreds of pages) may need to be split or compressed afterward.
