Filing a bug report with twelve screenshots. Or documenting an audit trail for the legal team. Or just sharing what you've found across an app. Twelve separate images is ugly; one PDF is professional.
Why one PDF beats twelve attachments
Discoverable order: the PDF presents screenshots in sequence; loose images get sorted by name or date arbitrarily. Easier to share: one attachment, not twelve. Annotation-ready: you can mark up the PDF with arrows, notes, highlights using a PDF editor. Searchable: if you OCR the resulting PDF, text in the screenshots becomes searchable.
Build the PDF
Drop screenshots into Flint's Image to PDF in order. Each becomes a page. Download the PDF, attach to your bug report or email.
For large screenshot sets (50+), name them numerically first (01-login.png, 02-dashboard.png) so they upload in order.
Annotate the PDF
Open the resulting PDF in Flint's editor (or any PDF annotation tool) and add arrows pointing to the bug, text notes explaining what's wrong, highlights on relevant areas. Saves the bug report writer's time — they don't need to figure out what they're looking at.
For bug reports specifically, also include the steps to reproduce as text in the PDF or in the email body.
OCR for searchable screenshots
Screenshots aren't searchable by default — the text in them is pixels, not text. Run OCR on the PDF (most modern PDF tools include OCR) and the text becomes searchable. Useful for audit trails or any case where you'll search through the screenshots later.
FAQ
Will the PDF be searchable?
Not by default — run OCR after conversion to make screenshot text searchable.
Can I add annotations?
Yes — use Flint's PDF editor after conversion.
What if some screenshots are wider than others?
Each page sizes to its screenshot by default. For uniform page width, scale screenshots to a consistent size in your image editor first.
Mix screenshots and photos?
Yes — the converter accepts both. JPG, PNG, HEIC all welcome in one batch.
Twelve screenshots, one document. Convert your screenshots to PDF and ship the report.
